Piana is a singer and musician from Japan. Her real name is Naoko Sasaki. Her musical career began with the band Card Skepper with guitarist Yuichiro Iwashita, who now plays in the electro-acoustic band Minamo. In June 2003, she released her first album, Snow Bird, on the Japanese label cubic music. In November, the album was licensed to the happy label in New York for worldwide distribution. Piana has also appeared on albums and live shows with World's End Girlfriend and Mokira.
