Based in New Jersey, Danny Maisonneuve (aka Sub Urban) is constantly cultivating an identifiable melancholy sound. At the age of 19 he finds himself writing, singing and producing music people can only describe as “yo this kinda fire actually lmao why you sound so emo”. He continually explores cynical themes while he looks to perfect a sound that arches from electronic music, rock, and pop genres. His unique sound combines both electronic production and heavier bass design with the emotional touch of sensual vocals and melodies. Most of his inspiration has derived from artists such as K. Flay, EDEN, Aries, verzache, Joji, Cage The Elephant and NoMBe.
